The student life component of the Hire Intensive serves to provide students with beneficial and holistic experiences outside of the classroom. Following the mind, body, soul, approach that the intensive is molded after, student life aims to serve the body and soul while academics cater to the mind. Our mission is to provide students with a safe, nurturing, and fun environment in which they can develop wholesome relationships with their peers, reflect on and implement the lessons they've learned, and have an enjoyable three weeks in our program.

The student life program works closely with the academics department in order to curate reflection sessions, field trips, activities, and more that are directly related with what students are learning in order to create a cohesive experience which allows students to implement what they've learned and reflect on it in a tangible, lasting way. We know from a well-known Islamic aphorism and teaching that 'ilm (knowledge) and 'aml (action) cannot be complete without each other, and the student life program aims to merge action with knowledge to create a holistic, well-rounded experience for students to learn and embody beneficial Islamic knowledge.
