When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.
— Alexander Graham Bell

Sometimes, we become so bent on achieving one particular goal or following one particular set of instructions that when things go awry, we ourselves get flustered. This distracts us, and other opportunities subsequently pass us by. But knowing that this happens doesn’t help us in the slightest. We must consciously act to look for the doors that remain open even when the first one closes. Only then can we learn to quickly overcome and even capitalize on our failures.
