Just Like Home
Not to sound hyperbolic or anything, MYNA was probably the best experience I’ve ever had. You make new friends, but most importantly, you make new family. It brings people the brightest smiles and the happiest hearts. We work together, and it seems nothing can stop us from reaching Jannah. My best experience at camp is camp cup. I learn so much and have so much fun at the same time. It’s truly amazing how much I’ve learned from MYNA. We're always keepin’ it halal. MYNA means so much to me. It makes me feel happy. Although the week may feel scary in the beginning, you go home and get so sad that it’s over. I love making new memories. Every time the slideshow at the end of camp comes on, tears of happiness roll down my face. It’s really funny how you can be having a conversation with a friend and then one second later you’re chanting “WE ARE THE YOUTH, OK, M Y N A!” Chant wars are the BEST. Honestly if you don’t lose your voice by the end of camp then you didn’t do myna right. MYNA inspires me to be a better muslim and just a better person in general. I truly am grateful that I’m able to go to MYNA every year, because honestly, it feels just like home.
