My wish for you is that you continue. Continue to be who you are, to astonish a mean world with your acts of kindness.
— Maya Angelou

Kindness is such a valuable trait to have, especially in the somber world we live in. Being kind to someone does no harm. In fact, your kindness can provide them the strength that they need so badly. Islam holds kindness and respect to such a high standard; we as Muslims must be kind to our parents, our neighbors, our friends, and even our enemies. That is what Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did. He was kind to animals, he was kind to the young and the old, he was kind to his friends and his enemies. This can especially be seen in the story where the lady would throw trash on the Prophet (pbuh) daily. The day the lady did not throw trash on him, our Prophet went to see if she was okay. This act of making sure his enemy was alright signifies how important it is to be kind. His acts of kindness should teach us to go out into the world and do the same.
